Ways to View a Patient's Tasks, Appointments, and Communication History

This article addresses ways to view past patient communication.

Secure Messages 

Past sent and received secure messages can be accessed under Pt. Portal > Show Pt's Portal History. Conversations will be threaded with the newest messages at the top.

Manually Sent Emails 

Emails that have been sent to the patient using Cerbo (including cancellation emails, but excluding appointment reminders) can be accessed by clicking the patient's email address in the patient information block, then clicking the "...Show past email correspondence" link on the bottom of the email pop-up window.
 

Appointment Reminders 

Sent or scheduled appointment reminder emails and text messages can be found in the Patient's chart under Scheduling > Last Apt. If the notification was scheduled but there is no text displayed, the patient received the default message. Note: The system does not save or record the contents of the initial appointment confirmation email.

 


 

Schedule and Task History

From a patient's chart, you can quickly view their complete task and appointment history, including upcoming scheduled visits.

If you want to see what upcoming or past appointments a specific patient has, the easiest way is to look this up directly from the patient dashboard. Just hover over the Scheduling link at the top of the patient's dashboard page and you should see entries for their next and last scheduled appointment.

If you want to see a patient's entire task and schedule history (both past and future), hover over the Scheduling tab and select "Show Patient's Task and Schedule History", which will launch a window that includes this data.

If you want to see a patient's entire schedule history (both past and future) you can just hover over the Scheduling tab again and select the "Show Patient's Task and Schedule History" option, which will launch a window that includes this data:

 

SMS History

This requires an integration with Twilio. Text messages that are received through the integrated Twilio inbox can be found in the patient's chart by clicking on their mobile phone number.

NOTE: If you're unable to view inbound messages from a patient 

Whenever multiple patients have the same mobile phone number, the SMS history cannot automatically determine which patient the incoming message(s) should be assigned to. 

You can select the Tasks menu at the top of the EMR, then select the "Unassigned SMS" tab where the numbers/messages can be manually assigned to the appropriate patient's chart. After they're assigned, they'll show up in that patient's SMS history.

Patient Timeline 

A comprehensive overview of all patient related communications, orders, prescriptions and more can be found in the Patient Timeline. The Timeline can be generated in the patient's chart under Generate > Patient Timeline.
